Call For Abstracts

Abstract submission will be open between February 10 - 24. View the full call for abstracts and rubrics on the SABER website: saberbio.org/abstracts

Request for Abstract Reviewers

The Abstract Committee is recruiting abstract reviewers. Anyone submitting an abstract (or who are advisors of individuals submitting abstracts) is encouraged serve to review others’ abstracts. We also very much welcome those not submitting an abstract to review. Training is provided for new reviewers. 

Creating the best meeting program possible requires that we have an active community willing to donate their time to this effort. Please complete the sign up form for reviewers by January 24 (Link: Reviewer Signup Form). 

Short Talk Abstract Coaching

The Mentoring Committee is organizing coaching in abstract writing for short talks. We need both abstract submitters that would like additional coaching and people that are willing to coach short talk abstract submitters. Requests for coaching need to be made with sufficient time for interactions between the abstract submitters and the coaches prior to the abstract submission deadline on February 24. 

If you are interested in receiving coaching or serving as a coach, please submit this form by February 1.

Annual Meeting Location Proposals
Deadline February 15

SABER is now accepting proposals from institutions interested in hosting the Annual Meeting in 2026. 

A SABER member from the host institution will serve as the on-site coordinator, offering local support such as reserving rooms and recommending catering vendors. The Annual Conference Committee will handle the majority of the conference planning and organization.

Institutions interested in hosting the SABER Annual Meeting in 2026 must review the SABER Annual Meeting Details and Facility Requirements packet and complete the SABER National Meeting Host Questionnaire by February 15.

Professional Development in Evidence-Based Teaching: Call for Speakers

We are pleased to announce a call for speakers for the 2025-2026 Professional Development in Evidence Based Teaching (PDET) seminar series. For more information on this series, past talks, and upcoming seminars, please visit the PDET website. SABER members who are interested in sharing their expertise with the SABER community are invited to fill out this form to have their information added to a database of potential speakers for the seminar series. Selected seminar speakers will obtain a $500 honorarium. Applications submitted by Friday, February 28 will receive priority review.
