Professional Development in Evidence-Based Teaching Series
The Professional Development in Evidence-Based Teaching (PDET) Seminar Series, returns for 2025-2026! This seminar series provides opportunities for professional development that connect the Biology Education Research (BER) findings that characterize the organization with the mission of SABER to improve post-secondary biology education. Seminars are given by experts in the field who have demonstrated translatable research and sometimes sponsored by education-centered companies that offer products to further enhance evidence-based pedagogy.
Seminars are 1-hour and begin at 11 am PT/ 12 pm MT/ 1 pm CT/ 2 pm ET on Fridays.

SABER members who are interested in sharing their expertise with the SABER community are invited to fill out the form below to have their information added to a database of potential speakers for the 2025-2026 seminar series. Selected seminar speakers will obtain a $500 honorarium. Note: Some of these events will be sponsored by partnering companies. Presenters are not responsible for any aspect of the sponsorship for these events.
