The Abstract Committee oversees all aspects of abstracts for the SABER National Meeting. This includes managing submission timelines and software, developing and maintaining review rubrics, organizing and facilitating abstract reviews, and providing guidance and training on effective abstract writing. The committee ensures a smooth, high-quality submission and review process, supporting presenters and reviewers alike.

The Annual Conference Committee manages all details and logistics for the SABER National Meeting. They coordinate planning, schedule sessions and events, oversee venue and vendor arrangements, and ensure a seamless, engaging experience for attendees.
SABER Awards Committee
The Awards Committee manages the process for all SABER awards. They draft calls for applications, review submissions, and select recipients, ensuring that excellence in biology education research is recognized and celebrated. Learn more about SABER's awards
Data Analysis & Stewardship Committee
The Data Analysis and Stewardship Committee manages and safeguards SABER’s organizational data. They oversee data collection, storage, and usage, guide policies on data requests, and manage demographic and conference-related surveys to support informed decision-making across the organization.

The Development and Growth Committee oversees SABER’s fundraising and sponsorship efforts. Guided by the Executive Committee and led by the Treasurer, the committee works to secure resources and ensure the society’s long-term financial sustainability.

The Mentoring Committee develops and implements mentoring programs within the SABER community. Persons Excluded Due to Ethnicity or Race CommitteeThe SABER PEER (Persons Excluded due to Ethnicity or Race) Committee provides career support and targeted professional development for individuals from groups historically excluded due to ethnicity or race, as well as their allies. The committee fosters communication and research collaborations within the PEER community and creates structures that support full participation in SABER, including opportunities for organizational leadership and engagement in biology education research. The Website and Communications Committee manages and develops SABER’s website, social media channels, and member communications. They share announcements, celebrate member achievements, and ensure that information about SABER’s activities is accessible and engaging.
