POSITION DESCRIPTION
The STEM Faculty Learning Coordinator will work with instructors, TAs, and course staff teaching large STEM courses on developing, implementing, and evaluating activities to support student equity within these courses and majors. Collaborating with instructors and others, the STEM coordinator will draw on both existing data analyses and will conduct new analyses to improve existing course innovations and interventions (already underway) as well as to create new interventions; participate in internally- and externally-focused studies and course/major improvement activities (such as learning self-studies); participate in ongoing STEM research collaborations within the university and as part of multi-institution collaborations; coordinate STEM learning technologies; and provide guidance to instructors and TAs in order to improve teaching, learning, and equitable outcomes across courses. The STEM Faculty Learning Coordinator will also be supported and encouraged to collaborate with faculty on external opportunities and grants aimed at increasing equity in STEM courses.

QUALIFICATIONS
Basic qualifications (required at time of application)
- Master’s degree in STEM or related discipline, such as STEM education.
Preferred qualifications
- Ph.D. in STEM discipline
Experience with STEM instruction, as teacher of record or TA.
Knowledge of research on STEM equity/inequities
Knowledge of discipline based educational research
Knowledge of research on learning development
Experience with project management
Experience with data analysis
Knowledgeable of Critical Theory, social justice
Demonstrated experience with diversity, equity, inclusion, and social justice
