Westminster College invites applications for the position of Assistant Professor of Neuroscience.  We seek candidates committed to undergraduate teaching, who incorporate hands-on lab demonstration and computational analysis, who will flourish in a program dedicated to undergraduate student learning, who will teach from an interdisciplinary perspective, and who will provide an inclusive learning environment that contributes to curriculum for our increasingly diverse student body. Of particular importance are the candidate’s ability to stoke initial and ongoing student interest in interdisciplinary scientific pursuit, and to foster active classroom engagement.  Field of specialization is open; emphasis will be given to candidates with interests and potential in areas spanning interdisciplinary basic science, neuroanatomy and development, systems neuroscience, and biochemistry.  Teaching load is 3/3.  We especially encourage student research mentorship - internal funding is available for student researchers and mentors.

Westminster College’s commitment to diversity and global learning is revealed in its core values, mission and vision statements, and learning goals. We seek colleagues who will support the learning of all students, including those from groups historically underrepresented in higher education, such as students of color, LGBTQ+ students, students with disabilities, and first-generation college students.

    • An active intellectual life that includes communication of your scholarly work through presentations at academic conferences or publications.
