    Description

    The Department of Biology at Case Western Reserve University invites applications for three faculty positions at the rank of instructor. Candidates must be committed to excellence in undergraduate teaching, mentoring and service. For these positions, we are seeking candidates able to teach introductory and advanced lecture courses on topics including genetics, physiology, anatomy, developmental biology, cell biology, neurobiology, ecology and evolution. We are also seeking candidates able to teach and supervise multiple sections of innovative introductory laboratory classes using a Course-based Undergraduate Research Experience (CURE) format. Instructors teach two course-equivalents per semester, perform pre-major and major advising for undergraduates, and serve on Biology Department committees.

    Qualifications

    Minimum requirements are Ph.D. degree and prior experience as sole instructor of college lecture and / or laboratory courses.
