The Biology Department at Colorado State University invites applications for a Biologist at the rank of Assistant Professor (Continuing Faculty, non-tenure track) to contribute to excellence in undergraduate education for Biology and Zoology majors. We seek biology or biology education specialists with content and pedagogical expertise to teach in the following courses: non-majors Introductory Biology, Cell Biology, and Developmental Biology or other relevant courses depending on department teaching needs. The successful candidate will teach in both resident and online formats and will collaborate with colleagues to develop and update curricula in lecture and lab portions of courses. Appointments will include a 3-year contract for 9-month salary, with opportunities to add summer teaching if desired.
Required qualifications are:
- PhD in Biology, or related discipline
- Demonstrated and relevant experience in biology instruction in higher education.
- Sufficient background in biology to contribute to teaching courses that meet departmental needs.
- Publication record in Biology or Biology Education
- The successful candidate must be legally authorized to work in the United States by the proposed start date. The department will not sponsor a visa for this position.
