    Position Summary

    The Department of Biology at Barnard College, Columbia University, seeks a full-time Lecturer, starting July 2025, with a specialization in Ecology and/or Evolution. Teaching duties include lecture and laboratory sections of Introduction to Organismal and Evolutionary Biology and upper-level lecture and laboratory courses that complement our current offerings in Ecology and/or Evolution.

    Applicants should submit a CV, a cover letter, a teaching statement, and a statement describing their past research. The teaching statement should include a discussion of the upper-level lab and lecture courses the applicant could teach (both existing offerings and new courses). The research statement should include a description of how the applicant’s research experience will inform their teaching.

    Salary

    $85,000 - $120,000

    Skills & Qualifications

    • A Ph.D. is required. Prior experience or demonstrated commitment to teaching and mentoring diverse students is desirable.
