2026 Annual Meeting Virtual Day: Thursday, June 25SABER is excited to introduce a Virtual Day as part of the 2026 Annual Meeting. This new, fully online day is designed to expand access, increase participation, and connect members who may not be able to attend in person. Virtual Day will feature live, interactive programming and opportunities to engage with the SABER community from anywhere in the world. Virtual Day LogisticsThe Virtual Day will take place on Zoom. Registered participants of both the Virtual Day and In-person Annual Meeting will receive a Zoom invitation to the email used at conference registration. The Virtual Day Subcommittee has prepared documents for presenters and participants to help you navigate your virtual presentation and participation. Click on the guides below to learn more. Virtual Day ScheduleThe schedule overview is available below. We expect the conference day to begin at 10:00 a.m. ET/ 7:00 a.m. PT and conclude around 7:30 p.m. ET/ 4:30 p.m. PT. All registered participants of the SABER Annual Meeting (Virtual Day Only and In-person) will receive the full conference schedule in pdf form no later than June 15.
Pre-Conference Social: Wednesday, June 24You're Invited! SABER's DBER Scholars-in-Training are hosting a virtual networking event to kick off the SABER Annual Meeting! All conference attendees are invited to join us for an evening of trivia, conversation, and fun. This is a great opportunity to meet fellow attendees, make connections, and put a few names to faces before the conference begins. Time: 4:00-5:30 pm PT / 7:00-8:30 pm ET All conference participants will receive a Zoom link in their email. Stay tuned! Special Interest Group MeetingsSpecial Interest Groups (SIGs) interested in meeting during the Virtual Day lunch-time SIG meeting block are encouraged to reach out. Registration OptionsAttendees may choose to register for Virtual Day only if they plan to participate exclusively online.

Conference PlatformThe full conference program, session links, and speaker information will be available through the 2026 conference program. Registered attendees will receive access details closer to the meeting.
Virtual Day Sponsorship OpportunitiesSABER is currently recruiting sponsors for the Virtual Day program. Virtual Day sponsors support expanded access to the biology education research community while helping make this new online offering possible. Sponsors will receive visibility throughout Virtual Day programming and a brief speaking opportunity during the opening Virtual Day session.
